SUPPLIES FOR ALL FRENCH CLASSES, August 2023
You are required to have the following supplies with you every day for class:
technology:
We don't have an official textbook (our curriculum draws from the Internet and books written by French speakers for French speakers), so maintaining a well-organized binder is crucial. FRENCH 1 STUDENTS: WE WILL HAVE BINDER CHECKS.
At different times during the semester I’ll ask you to buy things for projects. Some examples: a trifold, a poster board, something silly for a costume (from the Good Will or from home), an ingredient for food.
technology:
- Ear buds! Or something nicer if you can afford it.
- Your charged laptop, tablet or cellphone. In any given class session, I can lend a few people devices should the need arise. Most kids use their smartphones -- just fine for our purposes.

- One 3-ring binder, 1½ inches wide minimum. It’s ok if you have one binder for several subjects, but we’ll have many handouts this semester and you’ll need lots of space for French.
- Dividers with pockets to organize your papers.
- Smaller dividers to subdivide your classes or French units - this way you know exactly where things are.
- Pens, pencils, loose-leaf filler paper, erasers, white out, sharpies, tape, glue stick, colored pencils/markers, highlighters. I have lots of these in class for emergency use.
